Dean Manternach

Dean Manternach is the Vice President of Operations for Tharaldson Hospitality Management, bringing over 25 years of leadership experience with the company.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Hospitality from Iowa State University and began his career as a Bench Manager at a Fairfield Inn by Marriott. He quickly advanced to Assistant General Manager and then General Manager, a role he held for five years. Dean joined THM as an Area Director in 1995 and has played a key role in the company’s continued growth and operational success.

Dean values THM’s growth-oriented culture and down-to-earth approach, taking pride in working with quality teams who deliver exceptional guest experiences. He is also inspired by the leadership of Gary Tharaldson.

Outside of work, Dean enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on his kids at their baseball and basketball games.
